BFPO Mail Services Update
Post Office Notice
Use of BFPO’S to Operate a Business
Customers are reminded that use of Forces Post Office for operating a business overseas for personal gain, are not authorised to use the BFPO facilities to forward or receive mail items connected with that business. The MOD pays for the transportation of mail to and from overseas by air or surface means. To allow customer to use the BFPO to operate a business for personal gain would constitute an abuse of public money.
Individuals, who are authorised to operate businesses overseas, are to be advised that they should use local civilian post offices to receive or send goods connected with their business, whereby full international rates of postage will be paid.
FPO team would like to thank you for your understanding and co-operation.

Latest Information from HQ BFPO London
The 1 litre limit per consignment still stands. If SP orders liquids, these items may be held at BFPO for a considerable amount of time until a full reliable air route is operating again. If it is deemed or seen that high liquid volumes (e.g – X6 Litres) are contained in the same parcel, these will be returned to the company or sender.
The liquid 1-litre restriction is solely to protect other mail which is in the same despatch, to prevent mass damage if the liquid container breaks/splits.
There is a 20kg limit on parcels sent to/from BFPO 11 and maximum dimensions are 61x46x46cm. This will now be a Royal Mail medium parcel service replacing Parcel Force to the UK and other BFPOs, and a 2kg limit on all civilian addresses worldwide.
Any complaints regarding the reduced weight limits are to direct their concerns to the BFPO Service Desk regarding reduced weight restrictions (max 20Kg) and reduction in International Parcel weight step (max 2Kg). BFPO service desk Emails are as below: bfpoenquiries@gmail.com or tssincident@gmail.com

BFPO Stamp Price Increase
From the 4 April 2022, Royal Mail Group has announced changes to private BFPO mail tariffs, these new tariffs affect BFPO customers sending mail via a UK Post Office Counter or an overseas Forces Post Office (FPO).
BFPO customers should note that private BFPO mail items posted over a UK Post Office Counter or at a FPO Counter will be limited to 20Kg and new size dimensions. The new tariffs remain extremely competitive and are priced in line with UK Inland 1st Class services – an international service for a local UK price. The new product range will also allow BFPO customers to add more appropriate levels of compensation to extended Special Delivery services up to 20Kg.
BFPO mail weight & size restrictions for mail items not posted over a Post Office Counter remain unchanged (up to 30Kg). For more information visit: www.gov.uk/bfpo
